I was very surprised to find that long time board favorite, The Coffee Pot, didn't have a dedicated thread. It has been often mentioned whenever the conversation turns to breakfast in Wisconsin or, more specifically, breakfast in the Kenosha area. It's been mentioned for many years as an alternative to Frank's Diner, but it's more than that. In fact, I much prefer The Coffee Pot to Frank's these days.

Pretty much everything is made from scratch at The Coffee Pot, from the corned beef hash to the bread used for toast. In fact, those two items are my favorites on the menu, although there are lots of other great choices from pancakes to omelets.

The Coffee Pot is a place that deserves to be talked about a lot more than it has been, so I'm hoping this thread will spur some more LTHers to visit, now that spring is just around the corner.

    Here's a couple shots from today's visit:

I was a regular at Frank's Diner since 1980, when it was owned by John. John sold the diner to Chris and Lynn who were on Diner's, Drive-In's, and Dives. A few years ago, Chris and Lynn sold Frank's to new owners. Meanwhile, the Coffee Pot opened and I switched to the Coffee Pot. One of the Coffee Pot owners and the grill man were previously employed at Frank's from the John days.

Mrs Willie & I went this past weekend to The Coffee Pot, showed up about 8am on Saturday morning, good crowd already but we were able to get seated ASAP.

Mrs Willie enjoyed the corned beef hash, I the biscuits and gravy, delicious !!

We'll be back when we make our return visit in the spring
I did absolutely nothing and it was everything I thought it could be.
