Any restaurant recommendations for Pensacola, Florida? I did a quick search and found nothing.

My parents live in Pensacola and don't really get out much. I would like to take them out for a nice dinner during my annual visit this year (and avoid being dragged to Applebee's et. al.).

    Many thanks for any suggestions.

I was there last month and
had a great meal at DHARMA BLUE
(300 S Alcaniz St). The steak special
(bone-in ribeye, I believe) was one
of the tastiest steaks I've had
in a long time. But the highlight
    was the sushi. Generous portions
for nigiri, and priced for two pieces
what you usually have to pay per
piece. Why don't more sushi places
have CONCH on the menu? Sweet
and slightly crunchy - so much better
than the ubiquitous octopus and squid.

Reggie's BBQ in Milton Florida has most excellent ribs and pork. I had some nice mullet there, too (which I finally acquired at taste for) Went to Reggie's a couple times a year for the period that my former in-laws lived in that area.

SCUBAchef--thanks for the recommendation. I took the family to Dharma Blue for a nice Saturday night dinner. The atmosphere was great. The wine list was also good and I enjoyed a couple glasses of pinot blanc during our meal.

The family ordered sushi, a macadamia nut encrusted fish (mahi mahi, I think), crabcakes, shrimp and scallops in a brandy sauce and a ribeye. Everyone was pleased with their meal. My only complaint is that half of my mom's fish dish and my dish were a bit too salty. The waitress stated that there had been complaints of too much salt in the crabcakes, so I am guessing this was an issue with a new cook or something like that.

I would go back again. Dharma Blue also as free wi-fi and is open for lunch (not to mention pretty close to Pensacola Beach).

Anything new around these parts? Pensacola, Perdido Key, Orange Beach?
