LTH Evanston Lunch Group will meet on February 24 at Shinsen, 1322 Chicago Ave. Evanston. We discussed coming here last fall but at the time it wasn’t open for lunch.
Shinsen has been described as an Asian Fusion - Japanese/Thai restaurant and the menu shows sushi, robata, noodle and rice offerings.

Had a marvelous dinner here last night. Papaya salad with duck confit, hamachi with crispy garlic and yuzu, robata of shishito peppers with roasted garlic mayo, then beautiful head-on shrimp, pork belly, chicken, chicken fried rice and a great bowl of ramen. Terrific service, too. Disappointed that the restaurant wasn't busy; we were one of three tables. This restaurant deserves our support. I hope you enjoy your lunch next Monday! It's BYOB, btw.

Who is the competitor that paid Google maps to describe the restaurant thusly?

"Retail chain with a selection of upmarket makeup, perfumes, beauty & skincare products."

Or is the space shared with retail makeup business?
