Lau Boulda-Base -
Seafood with mixed vegetables in hot pot (Hot pot) (Note - I apologize for not taking this photo when the dish was first served (or when it first started boiling), when it was prettier with the mussels sticking out along the edges.)
I liked pretty much everything we had. My favorites were the goi ga for the spice level (it was our only spicy dish), the cochinchin noodle for its slightly chewy texture reminiscent of the Thai dish pad see ew, the hot pot for its amount of fish, and the taro smoothie because I love taro.
The meal was also quite a bargain; we ordered way more food than we needed to (I think the food quantity would have been just as fine without the $25 hot pot), yet, including two more beverages not pictured, the check was $111 before tax/tip, or $21-26 each. A real bargain.
