Beer Hero / support local breweries

The Ravenswood neighborhood newsletter recently announced a promotion.

Be a 'Beer Hero': Drink Local, Get a Free T-Shirt - Big Teeth Productions, Luckyprints, and the Greater Ravenswood Chamber have partnered to support local breweries impacted by COVID-19. Purchase beer from three or more participating breweries and earn a FREE "Beer Hero" t-shirt! Participants include Burning Bush, Dovetail, Empirical, LaGrow, Smylie Bros., Spiteful, Twisted Hippo and Urban Renewal Brewery.

We had regularly been stopping into Spiteful Brewing as it's near our dog's day care/boarding facility. We have continued buying to-go beer from them. The incentive of a cool looking t-shirt gives us a reason to expand our drinking repertoire. Thought others might be interested.

I am only buying beer, now, at Ravinia Brewery. It is reasonably good and reasonably local.

Their production brewery is in Chicago.

That is why I said reasonably local. Local would be if they had opened the brewery that they planned.
