My grandmother made amazing brisket roast - the Eastern European Jewish kind. Of course, it takes numerous hours and she would do a lot to the roast for a long time. It's some of the best meat I've ever had anywhere in the world. I've yet to find anything that comes close to what she'd make.
Now, here in NYC there's a ton of European Jewish food. A brisket sandwich is easy to find at a deli. However, where can I find an actual brisket roast? Even if it's something I can call a day ahead and/or only offered a few days per year.
Thanks!
