Going to be in Boston for half a day on Friday, was hoping to get into Neptune Oyster for dinner. Any tips for getting in and getting a table? If we go pretty early like at 5:00 will we be able to get a table or is that always going to be a 3 hour wait?

If not Neptune, is there another seafood restaurant you would recommend for dinner?

Not sure if this will be helpful for dinner, but we went for lunch back in June. Small line when we got there, but we were able to give our phone number in order to receive a text when a table was ready. So - if you go in knowing there could be a wait and have the time, give your number then go for a drink or a wander around the North End. The wait was worth it!!

There is a place in the South End of downtown called B&G Oysters. This place is owned by Barbara Lynch, who has a small collection of good places in the area. We thoroughly enjoyed this place. Great raw bar and no meat or poultry on the menu, just various seafood creations. Cool location also.

Thanks, that's what were gonna do. Get there an hour early, put our name down and then wander around the neighborhood for a bit.
