Greetings from NWI
This past Sunday, July 7, 2019 marked Teibel's 90th anniversary in business.

Since Phil Smidt's closed in 2007 after 97 years, we've made the drive to Schererville as often as possible for what, in my humble opinion, is the closest experience and food to Smidt's you'll find in NWI. We dined in the main dining room arriving at their 11AM opening, and it quickly filled up, but the real news was the carry-out only special from 11:00 til 12:30...90 cents for 90 minutes. If memory serves, (because they took it down from their facebook page) it was one piece of chicken, or perch, or one serving of cole slaw, or mashed potatoes with gravy, or rice pilaf, or Valpo Velvet ice cream (which made no sense for carry-out unless you were going to eat it immediately or have a milkshake by the time you got more than 30 minutes away). The food and service were impeccable, again IMHO and the dine-in specials continue through the end of July.

long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like
