Heading for OKC for two nights next week. I'm up for anything but some of my business companions are not so adventurous. Any special place for craft beer and good food? Everyone is suggesting steaks. Will have car and will be staying in the SW part of city but am willing to travel.

Enjoyed the Cattleman's steakhouse. Very much a throwback to the days of the stockyards. Think 1940's and 50's. That being said service and food were both good and really enjoyed the cowboy atmosphere.

If I have even just one night in Oklahoma I'm having chicken fried steak. I'm sure Cattlemen's is very good as well but you can get steak anywhere. I haven't been to OKC yet (only Tulsa numerous times), but when I do get there I will make a beeline to Ann's Chicken Fry House on Route 66 as I have heard great things about it. Since you are there for a couple of days, maybe you can sneak away on your own.
Ann's Chicken Fry House 4106 NW 39th St Oklahoma City OK 73112 (405) 943-8915 Closed Mondays

Did make it to Cattleman's. Very nice rib eye. As promised classic old style western steakhouse. Set next to a guy in boots and cowboy hat. Turns out this will be a monthly trip for awhile. Will try the chicken fried steak next time.
