In a couple of weeks, we will be driving to Breckenridge for some skiing. Anyone have any restaurant recommendations en route to Breckenridge, CO? I am also looking for Breckenridge recs. This would be for casual dining.

When I drive from IL to Colorado I usually stop in
kearney nebraska for the night and eat at this burger place

    http://www.angusburgersandshakes.com
this place was decent (better than Subway!)

If the timing works out I tend to stop in Des Moines for a
    cheese and charcuterie at
    the cheese shop
    833 42nd St
 Ste B
    Des Moines, IA 50312

At Breck I tend to only get a beer before driving home
    my recommended breweries are
    Broken Compass
    and
    Outer Range brewery (in Frisco)

I drove to Steamboat Springs in 2015 though we entered Colorado through the "back door" southwest of Laramie, WY. I am sure you are taking 80 to 76 into Denver. Wish I could help but I've got nothing. We stopped in Kearney, NE for dinner at a local place called Cunningham's to watch the Blackhawks beat the Ducks for the conference title but I have no food pictures so I suppose I wasn't impressed (though I can remember so maybe it was good). I guess you could find a place that serves runzas - a Nebraska favorite.

There was a Chicago themed sports bar in Breck (might still be there). I had no idea it was there, we wanted to watch a Bears-Cowboys game one night and I noticed the walls were all Chicago sports. Pretty cool.

Thanks for the replies. At Steamboat Springs, I liked Taco Cabo.
