2015 GNR Renewals, Seeking Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers who would like to participate in the process of GNR renewals. When a new GNR is awarded, it is for a period of 2 years, after which that GNR is considered for renewal. Each GNR is then evaluated for renewal every two years.

In the past, the process for renewals mirrored the process for awarding new GNRs with a discussion thread for each candidate. As the list grew, this approach became unwieldy and distracting, so last year for the first time the GNR Committee handled renewals offline through discussions with volunteers. As always, the primary criteria for evaluating GNRs remains board posts. For more details see the 2014 GNR Renewals.

If you would like to volunteer to participate in the renewal process, please send me a private message. Renewal discussion takes place over the next two months and does not require much time from volunteers. The more voices that participate in the discussion the stronger the program will be.
