Geez, all I've got is flowers on my tomatoes, although I have a few jalpenos. I've been eating snow peas for some time, as well as yu choy; I'd be eating lacinato kale if the bugs hadn't gotten at it. Oh, and boston lettuce. Maybe a pic tomorrow.

Hi- I have some green Sun Gold tomatoes that hopefully will get ripe in a week or two, but I just have flowers on the rest of my tomato plants. At least this year I expect a larger crop of Brandywines. Last year I was only able to acquire one plant, which produced one tomato, which became inedible, and so my crop can't be any smaller this year. I have two Brandwine plants, and each one has at least five flowers on it.

Cherries. Lots and lots of Cherries.

And honestly, not that many compared to some, but I ended up with 40 cups of cherries pitted. This doesn't count the ones the birds got, or the ones that were bad and discarded.

Talk to the neighbor, they might like the help picking! Otherwise they will all end up on the ground and be a big mess.

Warning - any tree that isn't maintained is likely to have Cherry Fly Worm. They aren't harmful to humans or pets, not being designed to live in the mammal digestive tract, but are a bit unappetizing. They also can make the cherry fruit unusable for much, since they eat the inside.

On the other hand, they are made up mostly of cherry, and their excrement (found inside the cherry) is simply processed cherry pulp.

I picked my first two patio tomatoes yesterday but didn't take a pic

My Jalapenos have been doing great this year. I've been taking those, banana peppers, santa fe peppers and cubanelles here and there over the past couple of weeks. Just one or two at a time that I use on smoked meat sandwiches.

My herb garden is doing fantastic this year. I have a huge basil plant and a pretty big thai basil plant and a decent sized cinnamon basil plant. My spicy oregano plant gets bigger and bigger every year. If anyone ever needs some I always have an abundance of that and mint.

We also have a stevia plant, chocolate mint, rosemary, lavender and flat leaf parsley.

A leaf of stevia with a leaf of thai basil is pretty tasty to just pick and chew together I've found.

I'll try to get pics up at some point.

hehehe...bit more than a "porch"--the growing area is actually 1/3 of the size of my condo :) But, yes, almost everything is from the home garden--a few of the tomatoes and the carrots in the pic are from my Peterson Garden plot but I am growing them here at home as well. This has been a strange year. I think it's time for me to rethink my tomato containers because those have really struggled this year and the cool, damp weather was awful for the cukes and squash. Sad to see the growing year start to draw to a close, though I did plant some lettuces, arugula, peas and collards yesterday. Now it's all about use--trying to get motivated to start working on putting things into storage mode! Bean---if you need anything, let me know!

Seedlings or seeds? Where from? I was looking all over for them at the beginning of the season but wasn't able to find any. Would love to know for next year!
