I recently went nuts on nog, so I'll share my findings:
Dean's Light: one of two favorites so far, other than the full-fat version.
Mystery brand found at Fresh Farms in a quart jug with a red cap: if anyone remembers the name of this brand, please let me know. This was a rich, not too sweet full-fat nog that I quite enjoyed.
Silk Nog: ridiculously sweet, but otherwise noggier than I thought it would be. With half the sugar, it would be pretty tasty.
Trader Joe's Light: not good. Very thin, as thin as Silk's, but with an odd bitter aftertaste. I may have to pour the rest out.
Trader Joe's Chocolate: couldn't resist, but I haven't cracked it open yet. I'll report back shortly.
In the past, I liked both the vanilla and original Southern Comfort (sans booze
) versions that were found in the refrigerated section of Jewel with the rest of the noggage. I didn't buy them this year. With the ones I did try this year, I think I'll be making homemade on Easter, and if it works, a bigger batch next winter. I'd also like to try a bottle of advocaat. By the way, where do you find CF Burger's?
