It is with great pleasure that I nominate Al's Deli in Evanston for a GNR. It is a wonderful small sandwich place, run by two brothers
delivering probably the best (simple) sandwiches around. The care they show about their products, from the freshness of the ingredients,
to the really good bread, all made to order by one of them, is a testament to what a special, special place this is.
Also, Al's soup is good accompaniment. It is always imaginative and well made. Al's Deli is one of those amazing places that is highly
deserving of the prize. It is truly a great neighborhood restaurant. I invite all to try it if you have not done so already.
