Please join Kafein, Chinola, trix, and I for some libations as well and noshes this Wednesday at around 7. We will be presenting Hopleaf with their much-deserved GNR award.

I'd love to go but their draconian no children under any circumstances prevents it. I'll think about the mussels as I dine elsewhere:(
I used to think the brain was the most important part of the body. Then I realized who was telling me that.

Hopleaf was wonderful last night! I had a lovely time meeting all of you. While Michael wasn't there, Hopleaf did not disappoint on the food side. Mussels were lovely as usual, great frites, and even the smelts were perfectly crisp and delicious (and not fishy at all). Among other things, we also shared the sausage platter, which was accompanied by amazing baked beans (who knew they could melt in your mouth), that definitely did not come from a can and had nice bits of pork mixed in.

But really, I enjoyed the company, everyone was so friendly and interesting! I am looking forward to seeing everyone again soon!

    Kafein,

I second the enjoyable company, food, beer, even the service was darn good last evening. Food wise I very much enjoyed smelts, rabbit rillette and, of course, mussels and frites.

Nice evening, great GNR nomination. Pictures of GNR presentation may be found here

    Enjoy,
