Currently not tentatively rescheduled: We will reschedule. Watch this space!

After the Evanston Lunch Group™ lunch at Kokomo Korean, moetchandon and I wandered down to the new outpost of Reza’s, soon to open in the old Pete Miller’s space (which was Bennigan’s before that). Doors were open, so we barged in and found the manager — Ryan Toulabi — puttering around with details prior to opening, targeted for March 15.

It didn’t look all that different from the Pete Miller’s days, except the jazz stage was removed, and maybe a few railings were gone, opening up the room a bit. And the tap room — pour your own beers by the glass, as much or as little as you want, will be preserved from the days when it was The Midnight Pig.

The Tribune is on top of the opening.

And the Evanston Lunch Group™ will be on top of Reza’a Middle Eastern/Persian food, too — Monday, April 27 at 1:15 pm.

As always, all are welcome. See you there!

I'll be there. It's in my calendar now.

Not only can we celebrate their opening, but we can celebrate their re-opening!

Toast, as every breakfaster knows, isn't really about the quality of the bread or how it's sliced or even the toaster. For man cannot live by toast alone. It's all about the butter. -- Adam Gopnik

I’m in. I’m really interested in what they have to offer.

Anticipating the restaurant shutdown to be still in effect, will this group consider getting carry out if they have it and going to a park, weather permitting? I'd suggest limited sharing unless the restaurant will split x items into x clamshells...

We can all be on Zoom, eating at our own tables but with our usual sparkling conversation!

Although the idea of sharing lunch on Zoom is intriguing, I will join on April 27th. Although we may still need Zoom. Who knows?
