The Old Man got out several years ago and his daughter (in law?) took over operations. Was open for a few years and finally closed.
“Old Man Mancini is definitely back running the restaurant“.
I asked about Chef Vince and he replied...
“I don’t know nuttin about this guy Vince. It’s Old Man Mancini.”
Tre Sorelle Ristorante, located at 1111 Lake St. in Oak Park and formerly known as the original Mancini's, is scheduled to open on Tuesday, Dec. 10.
"After more than 40 years in the business, I thought I had retired," said Tre Sorelle owner Al Mancini. "But, I am happy to be back and know I still have it in me to run this place."

How were the crowds?

Hi all. sorry for chiming in late here. Truth is, I was nervous to visit this thread for some reason....shame I guess, letting down my community...especially with the EP location and the somewhat lackluster Mariano's execution.
There is a story, yet its not time to tell it publically. I promise i will in due time. In the meantime, I'm planning on doing a pop-up food truck in the neighborhood after the holidays. Getting back to my deli roots and just cooking and serving for a couple days...food very near and dear to me. Deliciously fun stuff I've been playing with for a while....
I'll keep you all posted.
