Tonight was In-on's last night in business at the Broadway location. The rumored Clark/Lawrence location is not happening, but they are working hard to find a new spot. When I get word, I will absolutely pass it along (assuming Don doesn't post it here first), but I wouldn't expect anything before January 2017.

As for tonight's dinner, absolutely stellar. Pork ribs better than ever (I mean insanely good), crispy fish with herb salad, fish with red curry, pad thai and chicken stew (there were only two of us - a couple of the dishes were gifts). We waddled out of In-on smiling and sad at the same time. In-on has grown to be perhaps my favorite Thai restaurant in town. The food keeps getting better and better, the menu changing and expanding, so many dishes that draw me in, and the warm hospitality I feel every time I walk in the place. In the meantime, they will be missed.

I wanted to second the last sentiment. I was there the last day as well and food was as good as ever (in on crispy fish, fish with herb salad, chicken stew, green bean salad, papaya salad). Fingers crossed that they find a new location. It did grow to be my favorite thai place in the city and will miss it until it reopens.

A quick note that has me very happy.

I received a phone call from the owner last night. They have found a new location and are hoping to be open in November. Didn't get the exact address, but he indicated it was very close to a red-line stop. (He knows I travel in from the city, so mentioned it would be easy for me to get to).

Can't tell you how much I have missed this place and very happy to see it coming back. Nicest family and delicious food.

Great news! Thanks for posting. The best Thai curry I've ever had, bar none.

Anyone have any insider knowledge on whether a return is still on the table? Illinois Secretary of State says involuntary dissolution on 12/14/18. I don't know if that means anything in terms of the Srisawangpans' plans to reopen a restaurant, especially if it'd be as a different corporate entity, but the lack of any update since March has dimmed my hopes. Apologies in advance to anyone who got excited when they saw this thread had been bumped.

Typically, an involuntary dissolution is simply the result of the business not filing its annual report and/or paying the accompanying fee, so not necessarily anything meaningful.

It's the first active step we know about in almost a year that points to them actually coming back. Seems meaningful to me.

Sorry, I was referring to the involuntary dissolution and saying that it's usually the result of an oversight, rather than a negative sign concerning the business.

A few people I know have been, they were ecstatic and said it was the same.
I could not find any info online, and neither of them knew the hours, so I stopped in and chatting with Don today. In-On Thai is open, hours are weekday 4-9. Saturday and Sunday, 11-10, closed Wednesday.
