I love this forum for its relevance and members' participation.
I have other issues I would like to talk to locals about.
I was hoping someone here could point me to other places online where Chicagoans gather.

If this is an inappropriate query, I apologize.

All I know of is the nostalgia site,

Not a lot of traffic there.

Our neighborhood has a facebook group, which yours probably does too, and there are various chats with twitter hashtags (for instance there's a weekly #runchi for runners)

You'll find quite a bit of Chicago talk here.
It's not specifically a Chicago board but it's based here and the majority of the members are from here so there's a lot of Chicago talk.

Depending on where you are in the city, there might be a neighborhood blog (possibly with a Facebook presence.) Uptown Update, Edgeville Buzz are two that I follow for our area. My husband also tracks our neighborhood on Everyblock, but I'm not a fan.

Seconding the Everyblock recommendation. It's a fantastic hyperlocal site.
