pie lady and i are ready for another dessert exchange. i'm offering to volunteer my home on sunday, 12/11/11. it looks like november will slither by without a gathering. any interest?? joan

okay, we are set for december 11. there is still room for a few more people but the list so far:
    justjoan
    izzy
    cathy2
    ms. ingie
    toria
    cookie monster
    pie lady
    laura s
gohan lover (sick, didnt make it)

the usual 'rules' apply. i'll make dinner (non vegetarian, unless i'm told otherwise). please bring separate containers for messy/dry desserts. bring 1 dessert, divisible into portions for the final number of people. i'll email my wicker park address (near the blue line-free parking on my street and around the corner on north avenue), closer to the date. as usual, it'll be a lot of fun. i might make punch. justjoan

    HI,

Could this double as the cookie exchange or will that be a separate event?

If there is no November exchange, I will come with two pies in December. Can't get off schedule, you know.

I will bring Maple Buttermilk Pie and an Ecclefechan Tart.

I'm pretty sure that was a separate event. I'm not sure, but I think one person always had the cookie exchange; it wasn't one of the rotating dessert exchanges.

    Hi,

Dobra/Cookie Monster has usually hosted the cookie exchange. Last year it was on the first Sunday in December. I will cross my fingers and hope it occurs.

I would like to attend. I will post my contribution at another time. As far a November goes, I was wondering if anyone wanted to do another pie crawl or perhaps a Thanksgiving-themed dessert crawl - looking for pumpkin desserts offered only during this time of year.

I think the pumpkin one would be easier to arrange. I'm also planning another pie thon in January. Save the date...it's 1/28.

Okay, I remembered Joan's love of cranberries and I do have a bag in my freezer...I may change one of my selections for a secret cranberry pie-related something.

All right, I'm officially swayed. I'm making Nantucket Cranberry Pie, and I'm still making either the Maple Buttermilk Pie or Ecclefechan Tart, too.
