Yeah, tell me about it. I just borrowed it from the library was shocked at the weight. 5.8 lbs on Amazon. The covers are also too smooth. Try and pick this thing up with one hand I can easily see I slipping out of one's hand.
That being said it's great book that covers just about everything in great detail.

I'm pleased to announce the new hosts of America's Test Kitchen will be Julia Collin Davison and Bridget Lancaster. They have been fixtures on the show since that first episode aired back in 2001. You know their cooking skills (they have prepared hundreds of recipes on air) as well as their deep knowledge of food. They are both so funny, smart, and passionate about our mission, which is to help you become a better cook. I’m excited to see Bridget and Julia in their roles.
You will continue to see Chris in episodes of America’s Test Kitchen and Cook’s Country already filmed and distributed to your local public television station. Julia and Bridget will make their appearance as co-hosts on brand-new episodes of America’s Test Kitchen starting in 2017. Check local public television station listings for the schedule of season 17 episodes. Chris will continue to host America’s Test Kitchen Radio. And stay tuned for upcoming news about Cook’s Country hosts; we’ll let you know as soon as we have news to share!

He might have, but I don't think this is it. I'm betting we haven't heard the last from Mr. Kimball.

Now he is moving on. Instead of polishing his carefully created New England sensibility and hovering over the obsessive recipe-testing platform on which he built Cook’s Illustrated magazine and its offspring, Mr. Kimball is loosening his bow tie and shifting his culinary worldview.

NFriday wrote:Hi- You can access America's Test Kitchen website for 3 months for $1 right now. The deal ends on 4/30. You can also get three free weeks of cooking classes. You have to stop it before the three weeks are up, or you will be charged for the following month. All of ATK's cookbooks are also now $19.99 or less.
