It's rare that I am ever sick of eating tomatoes fresh from the garden, but that was the case at Slow Food Chicago's Tomato Fest 2008, and I didn't even taste everything that came in. There were a lot of people with cameras, and I hope they will log in and share their shots. Thanks again to the Chicago Honey Coop for sharing the space.

For me, this year has produced a couple of winners in our garden:

    Cuos Trallee:

This is one of the best large reds we have grown. A perfect and fairly prolific tomato for slicing and sandwiches.

    Pineapple:

Orange with a red base that spreads as it ripens. Medium small with a smoky, broad flavor. A sauce with nothing but this would be fabulous.

    Tess's Land Race Currant:

Small and potent. Lots of Flavor, prolific and delicious. If I could pick enough without eating them, this would be great as a quick saute with pasta.

If anyone else has pictures, please share them.

Wow. Impressive variety. Sorry I couldn't make it to the event -- it looks like it was a hit.
