Beatrix Potter’s classic characters exist in a world filled with flowers and gardens, born of Potter’s passion for nature. McDowell’s book traces Potter’s life as a gardener, from her interest in plants, through her realization as an artist and author, to her years as an estate farmer and naturalist. Enjoy an English tea and McDowell’s presentation of Potter's botanical art, the flora and horticulture that appears in her "little books," and Potter's own garden. The first 50 attendees will receive a complimentary seed packet from Renee’s Garden. Presented with the Chicago Botanic Garden’s Lenhardt Library.
