Recommendations for thermal coffee maker with timer?

I normally go with french press or (N)espresso, but the appeal of having coffee waiting for me in the mornings is winning out. So I'm looking for a drip coffee maker with a timer. And possibly one with a thermal carafe as well. The timer requirement seems easy to shop for. When I start looking at ones with a thermal carafe, the reviews are all over the place. For any given model, some people love it, others say it routinely spews 10 cups of hot (or not hot enough) coffee all over the counter.

Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

I don't dring much coffee, but my wife swears by her Black & Decker Smart Brew Plus (purchased at Target). No thermal caraffe, but there is a warming element that stays on and keeps the coffee hot once the brew cycle is over.
