Community-suppported Begyle Brewing opening Jan. 25

Members of Chicago's first CSB — a brewery program based on the CSA, or community-supported agriculture model — will soon get to enjoy their investment.

Begyle Brewing Co. (pronounced BE-guile) will open a 600-square-foot store and tasting room inside its nearly 4,000-square-foot brewery at 1800 W. Cuyler Ave. in Ravenswood Jan. 25. The 200 people who bought shares in the community-supported brewery, which went on sale in December and sold out in a week, will be able to come in and have their 64-ounce growlers filled. The public is welcome to buy beer by the growler, bottle or keg, too. Tastes will be free.
