Article in today's NY Times about new cocktails made with "molecular mixology". Mentions David Burke's and of course Moto. I've had all the cocktails mentioned, and they are quite fun. It was nice to just stop in at Moto for drinks one night. Try the "laserized" wine, its quite a production. I also enjoyed the poprocks martini. It was super sugary sweet but there was just something fun about a drink popping and crunching in your mouth. I enjoyed seeing their cocktail menu be brought more in line with the rest of the restaurant.

I had a sip of the Primehouse leather-infused manhattan. Feh. Like licking a shoe. He who ordered it liked it better, though.

Years ago on the outskirts of Atlantic City there was an old-school "fine dining" steak-n-lobster-n-booze restaurant called Zaberer's. They had a big billboard on the road going into town that read, "Home of the Zaberized Cocktail." Ahead of their time.
