I live in Chicago. Does anyone know if this is sold in stores? If so, where?

BTW, the Berghoff Beer is still going to be sold.

Jewel, Cub, Dominick's, etc, should all have it.

I never found the bottled version nearly as good as served off the tap at the restaurant/bar.

For what it's worth, the Costco on Clybourn has Goose Island root beer, 24 12-oz bottles, for $12.69. The best deal for the berghoff root beer is the $1 32-oz bottles.

Neither root beer is superb, but both whomp Barq's.

I saw some for sale over here in South Bend a week or so ago. That may be a little stretch for a drive though. :)

    In case anyone is curious...

Thank you for your interest in the Berghoff Root Beer. The product is made, bottled & distributed by Clover Club of Chicago. I suggest you call them directly for a specific location in your area. The number for Clover Club is 773-261-7100 and you can speak with Ed, who's in charge of sales, or Joe, who's in charge of production.

    Sincerely,

    Jan Berghoff

I just saw it yesterday (and a lot of it) at the Jewel at Foster and Pulaski. They also sell Goose Island root beer, which I've never tried.
