The Franklin Room: Chicago Speakeasy and Tavern

Went to grab a drink that turned into dinner here last night. Not to be repetitive, really well made cocktails, decent beer list. The $1 Oyster is a nice Happy Hour deal. Very clean tasting, although it did come with about 3 too many accoutrements (lemon, citrus ice, pickles, hot sauce, and green onions). Food was rich and yummy.

Their Whisk(e)y list is extensive. I like the brown stuff, but am no expert. The Sunday $1 whiskey night has my attention. Does anyone have more details? The last special harkens to another era: $1 beer and wine and $3 martinis at lunch. I'll probably never get the chance to partake, but sounds romantic (and a little sloppy).
