How has everybody been enjoying Chicago Craft Beer Week? I've hit a couple of events but there's just too much going on!
Anyway, if you're not doing Welles Park Beer Festival tomorrow, or if you happen to be wandering around the south side with a little money in your pocket, consider checking out this event that I helped organize, the Bubbly Creek Barrel Brawl.
BCBB is a homebrew contest with 21 beers on tap. There'll be an official BJCP judging, with the winning beer to be brewed at Motor Row Brewing in the south loop. There will also be a People's Choice category, which is where *you* come in. Event attendees will vote on their favorite beers, with the winners to be announced near the end of the event.
BCBB takes place from 2-6pm tomorrow, Saturday, May 23rd, at The Plant Chicago (1400 W. 46th St.) Proceeds go to The Plant, a self-sufficient vertical farming cooperative. It's a really cool venue--we'll be outside in the farm space. It should be a beautiful day for it. Tickets are $25 and there are 21 beers to taste. I hope to see a few of you there!
