Anyone have experience with Korean chewable alcohol:
Kooksoondang Brewery's gelatin-form of rice wine?
--I read a mention about this sometime ago, wrote a little note to myself about it, and then did nothing else until now. I was stimulated to ask about it by the upcoming LTHForum 1K/1Year event at Korean Garden...not that it's such a *strong* association, just that my recent discovery of, and membership with, this group has triggered the recollection of this odd little factoid that I'd stored-away for some future rumination. And the future is now, I guess. Seems to me that if anyone would be knowledgeable about--or interested in--this stuff, it might well be here.
So, anyone ever tried it, and if so, is it just some silly novelty or does it qualify as a "food" meriting discussion/evaluation/pairing-with-other-foods/etc.? I would imagine it being partnered with informal finger-food snacks, like those tiny dried fish snacks Koreans and Chinese sometimes favor. Perhaps just the thing for chewing on while watching a game on TV.
If anyone actually knows where to get some locally, I'd like to finally try it out.
