I heard of this wine on a radio show maybe a year ago. 101.9, Eric and Kathy. Obviously, Stupid Ass is the real name, I am trying to find the correct spelling of it so I can locate it.

I would love to serve this at a family party and see how long it takes people to realize what it is.

However, I can't find any reference to it online, or anywhere. I called Binny's and Mr A's (Andy) and they had not heard of it. I have searched the internet and found nothing.

Is this a joke, or does this wine really exist? If anyone can point me to some sources, that would be wonderful.

    Thanks!

    Christine

PS. There is a winery/vineyard in Virginia called Naked Mountian and their corks say 'Drink Naked' on them...very fun! It was for sale recently for $3M with $1M in wine stock. I'm sure it has been sold, but interesting stuff!

I know of a wine called

    Stu Pedasso

It's from Topolos, they gave us a handout with the hilarious story when we went to their winery.

You can order it online, it's an inexpensive Zinfandel (red)

I'm not sure if you can order less than a case (it's $75 per case), here's the link:

    http://topolos.net/order/

By the way, at their winery I thought most of their wines were OK, but not super great, from my old notes it doesn't seem that the Stu Pedasso was on the tasting list.

I've never seen their wine locally, if ANYBODY has it, it would probably be Sam's (www.samswine.com).

Oh, thank you! I am sure this is it and the radio bit just got it slightly off.

At family functions, we're fast wine drinkers, so average wine is preferable. And the humor will be so appreciated, I'm sure no one will comment!

It kills me that I bring Woodbridge 1.5L to a party that costs $9.99 or so at Sam's Club, and my aunt puts it away and serves us a 1.5L of Sutter Home. I mean, yeah, it's all inexpensive table wine, but for the $3 difference, wow, Woodbridge is way better! And even if we go thru 6 of them, that's only a $20 difference!

Also - this slight misnomer in the radio bit makes me think of when Michael Chiarello refers to the Giorgio Formani Grill! :) It's cute!

    Thanks again!
