Kabul House - Afghan

I wanted to be first to nominate Kabul House for a GNR. Why should I be honored to do this? Well, for one, I remember when Kabul House started as a franchised La Rosa pizzeria on Main St. in Evanston. Then its owner, Abdul Qazi, opened the space next door, to offer the food from his native land, which he billed as "Afghan Fine Cuisine." It became crowded; he gave up the pizzeria, and moved to Skokie. After a stint in Elk Grove Village, he’s returned to Skokie to tremendous LTH accolades.

So, despite the spotty nature of my GNR nominations, I’m really hoping that others will agree with me that the new incarnation of Kabul House deserves some LTH love.
