    Hot shoes!

The Greater Midwest Foodways Alliance closed our Beef weekend with a guided tour by David Hammond and Bruce Kraig. We had cattlemen and their wives from Iowa and Nebraska swooning over the food. They were acquainted with Mexican food, but it was nothing like what they experienced walking about Maxwell Street. One woman had never liked Mexican, but loved everything sampled in this open air market. It occurred to her, she may never have had real Mexican food before.

Maxwell Street Market is worthy of a GNR.

Feels like a trip to Mexico, but it's a lot closer. And you can never have too many tube socks. Support renewal.
