Post #3 - August 2nd, 2004, 3:48 pmI know it doesn't constitute local fare, but Edy's Dreamery offers NY Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream. Goes against the Chowhound credo, but I have been known to indulge. Available in most Jewels/Dominicks.

Post #4 - August 2nd, 2004, 4:11 pmI saw some kind of cheesecake ice cream at the Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream Sotre on Devon near Central. Not sure what exact flavor it is. Give 'em a call. Also, you might check with Cold Stone Creamery. It sounds like something they might carry.
