After tasting Avec's dates, I am eager to replicate them in my kitchen. Does anyone know where I can get Piquillo peppers? I think they are usually roasted and sold in jars (but I presume they are different that the usual "roasted red peppers"), but a fresh supplier would be welcome as well. Thanks.

I don't know about a local source, but www.tienda.com is a good source for Spanish imports, and they do sell the jarred roasted piquillos.

I went to the delicatessen at Cafe Iberico yesterday and found piquillos along with some chorizo. I'd never been to the deli, but they have a nice selection of meats and cheeses with a limited dry goods selection.
