Post #1 - July 6th, 2004, 2:44 pmAll, I am heading out of town in a few days, otherwise I would be sorely tempted to experiment, this afternoon while shopping at Treasure Island (Wells Street location) I saw that they have a batch of very large, fresh black truffles in in the deli counter at about $16/oz, so not cheap but definitely looked large and fresh.

Post #3 - July 8th, 2004, 4:57 pmFWIW TI's ad in the food sections has Italian black truffles in the upper right hand corner. Of course, some their ad copy is usually hilariously incompetent, so who knows what they are.
