    Hello all,
I am planning to go to Myrtle Beach (for my sister's graduation) and Charleston (for my dining and relaxing pleasure) in early May. I did find the informative Charleston thread, thank you. I will definitely be utilizing it, and I have been quite successful in finding restaurant reccomendations for the Charleston area: Fig, See Wee, Boulevard Diner, Hominy Grill, Pearlz, SNOB & McCready's...to name a few that seem to have gotten some praise.

However, I cannot find anything on dining in Myrtle Beach. I am worried that it's going to be Applebee's, Olive Garden and Senor Frog's. Thankfully I know I will be able to enjoy some delicious meals at Waffle House, but I can't eat there for three meals a day...well I could. :)
Does anyone have any ideas about where to get some good food in Myrtle Beach? It can be fancy or casual, I'm not picky, I just like good food.

I would certainly welcome any additional ideas about Charleston, but Myrtle Beach would be really appreciated.
    Thank you in advance!

If you don't mind a short drive, there is an outstanding BBQ place about 30 minutes south of Myrtle Beach, in Pawleys Island, called Hog Heaven. I've eaten here every summer for years and highly recommend it. Fantastic pulled pork with a great vinegar-based sauce.

Myrtle Beach has more all you can eat buffets than finer dining establishments. They feed the throngs and it shows.

I do an annual golf outing with some former co-workers down there every year. The one place that we go back to over and over is Umberto's Pittsburgh Italian. Its a great place with a menu of heavy, meat centric Italian dishes. Its located in the Barefoot Landing Complex.

It makes for a good night out- lots of good food and wine.

I will be heading to MB at the end of August and thank you for the BBQ pointer.

Can anyone point me to a good seafood restaurant/buffet? That is what I am really looking forward to!

This thread is a little dusty. I'm hoping to get some Myrtle Beach recs for an upcoming trip. Anyone?
