Post #1 - June 2nd, 2004, 9:51 amI vaguely remember a conversation a few months ago about the best soup dumplings in NYC. I cannot seem to find the post... Heading over there next weekend, and would really like to try it...
Can anyone refresh my memory? Or even suggest a couple of places? Thanks!

Post #2 - June 2nd, 2004, 9:57 amI've had terrific soup dumplings (more than a year ago) at New Green Bo on Bayard in chinatown and at Joe's Shanghai on Mott. There's another shanghainese place that's supposed to be fabulous. I wanna say Mountain Something. Oh well.

As I posted in the Nan Xiang thread, and having had XLB in NYC and Shanghai, I don't buy it. NYC has many excellent XLB. By the way, his favorite XLB place stopped making them in August 2017 due to the owner's belief that the quality of their XLB had been declining . . . the video is from 2016.
