I'm looking for a seafood market close to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta airport. I want to pick up a case of fresh oysters and crab if available. I will be heading south. Or clues about what area to look some up in the area via the yellow pages.

    Thanks,

Largest seafood wholesaler in the southeast.

    Inland Seafood
Address: 1222 Menlo Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
    Phone: (404) 350-5850

Heading south on I-75 from I-285 your stop will be north of downtown.

    14. Take the HOWELL MILL ROAD exit, exit #252
    15. Turn right on HOWELL MILL RD NW - go 1.3 mi
    16. Turn Right on HUFF RD NW - go 0.8 mi
    17. Turn Left on MENLO DR NW - go < 0.1 mi
    18. Arrive at 1222 MENLO DR NW, ATLANTA

You should be able to call them the day before and ask to place 'a COD order for pickup at such and such a time the next day for 'the LTH Forum' or 'Restaurant Bruce' '. If they ask, tell them you are a new customer and that you will pay the tax and in cash. This will speed the transaction. Without traffic, it will take no more than 20-25 minutes from Inland down to the airport.

Most important: check your goods thoroughly before paying. Wholesale seafood is CAVEAT EMPTOR.

    A bit off topic....

Have you been to the huge market in Pensacola, Florida? I was there once a few years back and will be going again soon.

    Steve,

Thanks for the info. This will be very helpful. I'm flying in to Atlanta and arrive at 9:00 am. By the time I get a car and out of the airport I should be able to be there by 11:00 am. I might be able to eat a few oysters on my drive to central GA. :)

I think I'll bring a trash bag for the trunk of the rental. I doubt if they would like iced oyster smell in the trunk.
