I'm now licensed in the City of Milwaukee. Beginning Saturday, March 17th, St. Patrick's Day, the Grateful Dog will be serving Vienna Beef hot dogs and Polish at the Lakefront Brewery from 12:00-4:00pm. The brewery hosts five tours every Saturday. This is a continuous drinking tour. For the sum of $5.00, participants receive an 8oz plastic cup and four tokens, redeemable for four drinks before, during, and after the tour. Upon returning your empty plastic cup, you'll receive a beer glass and a $2.00 retail coupon. The brewery has a large dining hall offering an excellent Friday night fish fry and a live polka band. During the summer, there's a beer garden over looking the Milwaukee river. If you're in the area some Saturday, please stop by.

I've been on this tour and I can heartily recommend it. The guides are knowledgeable and you can drink plenty after. They have the actual Bennie the Brewer slide and keg from old County Stadium set up inside the warehouse, which is part of the tour. If the day is nice, the outside patio area is a fun area in part because it's right on the river.

Overall, pretty neat experience and very good beer.

So you don't offend the fans of Milwaukee, I believe that it is BERNIE Brewer.

When the Brewers win the Central Division this year, Bernie will be a household name.

    This is good news.

My sister went to Marquette so many a Friday afternoons were spent at the Miller Brewery tour for the free samples.

I made my first trip to the Lakefront Brewery several weeks ago and thought it was fantastic. The Big Easy brew for Mardi Gras was the big beer of the moment and I loved it.

I felt the only thing lacking was a hot polish!

St. Patrick's Day at the brewery was sunny and cold. It's a good site for hot dog sales and we've decided to wait until it's short sleeves weather to vend. In this cold weather, I'd prefer being in the brewery instead of standing in front of it. When the temps hit the 60's and 70's, we'll be back.

I have not been on this tour, but I find that the Sprecher tour in suburban Glendale is excellent. No drinking during the tour, but 10 coupons for 4 oz tasting portions of their various brews in their party room afterward, plus all the soft drinks you can handle.

A group of five of us went coincidentally a year ago today. One was expecting a baby the next month, and I don't like beer THAT much (I was along to pick up two cases of sodas) and only used 3 of my coupons. Needless to say, we were the drivers... :D

For the non beer drinkers, they do offer their root beer.

yes. that is a big mistake on my part. however, the brewers have no shot to overcome the juggernaut that is the 2007 Cincinnati Reds I'm afraid. Bernie will have to wait until at least '08 for his re-ascension to fame.
