I don't know if I'm allowed to share the name of this golf/lake resort in s. illinois, suffice it to say that the facts you are about to hear are true. The meals were horrible at this place, all buffet style, all cold. When we arrived and inquired about the restaurant's hours, the hostess said, "We usually just keep it open 'till people are through eatin' off it."
As bad as it was, two things totally shocked me.
    1. Asked for peanut butter and a half-used jar of Skippy was plopped down in front of me -gross.
    2. When getting the table ready for the next diners, unused glassware and silverware were placed on the chairs around the table (lip down). Then cleanser was sprayed on the table and nearby guests. I covered my chardonnay to keep away the unwanted droplets. (This is a lake resort, do you know who/what has been sitting on those chair cushions??) Then the glassware was returned to the table(lip down). Maybe this is a common practice. But I have never witnessed it and it was disgusting.
Though I still have a stomach ache, I feel better getting these complaints off my chest. If allowed on this site, I'll share the name so you don't have a similiar disaster. (By the way, no fridge or microwaves in the room. Had to be at this spot to celebrate a brother-in-law's 40th b-day.)
