    Dave,

Interesting article, I knew about the Kreuz Market Schmidt/Smitty's brother sister split, but not about Louie Mueller's. I'm a fan of Smitty's, but not so much the original Kreuz or, for that matter, Louie Muller's.

We were in the Austin/Hill Country area last January and I hit 4-5 place including Black's which I like, Southside Market for mutton and sausage, Meyer's for so-so brisket and very good Texas style 'Hot Guts' and of course Cooper's in Llano.

The Sky article is not the first time I've seen mention Cooper's in Llano has lost a step now that it has become so very popular, but as of last January it was still the best damn brisket I have ever had the pleasure of eating. I've only had Cooper's in Llano Brisket 4-times, but my last bite in '04 was as mind-boggling delicious as my first in '99. Angels sang.

Cooper's in Llano, where god goes when she's in the mood for Brisket.

    Enjoy,
    Gary
