Eating out in Indy - Recs

Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone can tell me good places to eat in Indianapolis. I will be attending a conference there next weekend, and am looking for some good, solid restaurant recs.

If not helpful, post here again and we can try some other options! One thing I will point out is that Indianapolis has incredibly poor public transportation, and is also a sprawling city, so let us know if you won't have a car and we can direct you to places in Downtown. Two rec's I can give right now: DO have lunch at Shapiro's Deli (http://www.shapiros.com) and DO NOT get suckered into St. Elmo's steakhouse.
