Ironwood, Michigan (and the roads leading to it)

Hi,

My parents are taking I-94 until Baraboo, then 39 straight up to Ironwood, Michigan. Is there food of interest along the way or at their destination of Ironwood?

Thanks in advance for any information.

I don't know if they are interested only in restaurants.I know there is a mustard museum.Not sure how close but maybe someone else knows.

Mustard Museum is west of Madison. A friend's cousin owns the Mustard Museum. It's a small world after all! (now try to get that tune out your head for the rest of the day!)

Actually,"Time of the Season" is running through my head.It has enough room up there.Baraboo is home to the clown or circus museum isn't it?Sorry if this is too far OT.

From my obsession with pizza a friend of mine pointed out that there is a organization for certifying your pizza as authentic Neapolitan-style pizza called Verace Pizza Napoletana http://www.verapizzanapoletana.org

Two places come to mind, both in Manitowish Waters (less than an hour south of Ironwood)

Blue Bayou Inn (on Lake Manitowish, right on US 51 - which is what I39 turns into north of Tomahawk)
Not as good as it used to be before Chef Walter passed away, but still the best Cajun & Creole food in Northern Wisconsin)
