(and yes, I have been traveling a bunch of late)
So, while I am still in San Francisco at the moment, hoping to take advantage of some of the suggestions in response to my previous post, I am also starting to research and plan my next trip, to Camden Maine next week.
I will be there from Wednesday night until Sunday morning, however at least a few of my meals will be already organized (going to a conference.)
For the rest, I will almost always be eating with at least a carfull of people, in most cases I suspect two or three carfulls, so between 5 and 10 people most of the time. Thus I am looking for suggestions for places that are:
1. Easy to split the bill, i.e. generally most things in the same price range
2. Good for a large group - but also quiet enough that everyone can talk to everyone else at the table.
3. Accomodating of a range of tastes and diets, but definitely meat and probably ideally places that highlight good, local, Maine foods (especially perhaps from the sea)
4. Something interesting and memorable in a positive way about the food. If I have anything to say none of the meals will be at a chain and they all will be someplace interesting.
5. Most critical are dinner spots, I think all other meals will be covered at the conference.
Anyone have some suggestions or other feedback about Camden (and/or the drive to Camden from Boston).
thanks!
Shannon
