Anyone have suggestions on a retail location/meat shop that would or should carry a farmers product? I tried the farmers market thing but there just aren't enough hours in the day.

What about Zier's in Wilmette? It has some fans on the board and I've always thought they did a nice job with standards as well as specialty items.
Good luck, FarmerGreg!
Man : I can't understand how a poet like you can eat that stuff. T. S. Eliot: Ah, but you're not a poet.

We've got a small organic farm in north east Indiana. I had replied to the bbq thread on this site because they mentioned our farm and several people were trying to figure out where to buy decent pork. We currently make a once a week delivery to some of the nicest restaurants in the city. I'd kind of like to expand into retail locations. We used to do the Green City Market several years ago and we still get some phone calls and emails from individuals that would still like to get our product. Thanks in advance for all the replies.

Eric Larson - a really great guy - of the Marion Street Cheese Market is in the process of opening an organic butcher shop in Oak Park, the first suburb west of Chicago's loop.
I'm sure he'd love to talk with you about your products.
