Caveat: "Updating" of these lists appears to consist of adding restaurants without deleting obsolete entries. The state's list of Chicago restaurants and the city's list differ somewhat both in entries and in the information provided. (The state provides only name and address. For some entries, Chicago adds type of restaurant and business hours.)

Also, I'm dubious about how smoke-free some of these places actually are.

However, the lists seem a rich source of names and addresses of "undiscovered" eateries, such as the C & E Car Wash Restaurant, 6707 S. Ashland Ave., and Dem Food, 5750 W. Belmont Ave.
