Many thanks for the website reference on the "Green Fairy." There is now a mini-library on Absinthe, beginning (or ending, since it is the most recent, with Jad Adams, Hideous Absinthe: A History of the Devil in a Bottle, U. Wisconsin Press, 2004).

It is interesting that the first absinthe wave (and particularly wave of Absinthe Terror) began about a century ago.
