The
Chicago Chowhound FAQ, compiled by yours truly, is the easiest way to find the elaborate discussions about places like Spoon Thai, Ed's Potsticker House, etc. that predated the founding of LTHForum. It's long out of date, you can ignore the one-recommendation per category part (which was designed to answer the constant requests at Chowhound for visitor tips), and given Chowhound's structure the process for calling up the posts by number is more than a little cumbersome; but even so, it's the best way to dig into ancient discussions by lots of folks you'll know from here.
As for the even more ancient content on chi.eats by a few Internet pioneers like G Wiv and Rene G, well, that's what Google's for.
