    Hi,

I created a poll for the start time. Pick all that work for you. At our last visit, 7:30 pm was considered best.

If you wish to make a dessert, great! Since we cannot share it, it is entirely optional whether you really made the cake or not.

If you wish to share pictures and the experience of a recently made dessert, great!

If you wish to discuss the world of cooking and baking highlighting things that went surprising well or did not, great!

Via Zoom, we have the ability to screen share to show the food we made or wish to make someday.

Even if the ban is lifted, we will stick to Zoom. I am not in the mood to clean house for your review. :D

    Regards,

After 7 pm would be best for me. I'll be traveling what day and should be able to make it by then. I will present something from earlier in the week. May want to discuss sourdough starter and the things made with the discards.

I am up for any time but would lean toward later. As the days get longer, I hope to be outside later into the day.

It's 7:30, because Ingrid did not vote on the poll, but effectively it was the same idea.

    See you then!

Alas, I will not be attending this evening. Got a later start than expected in my travel back home and I'm afraid the timing won't gel. And, I forgot to take pictures of my desserts from this week.

    Enjoy.

    Hi,

I made a Solo Poppy Seed Cake directly from the recipe on the can's label. I chatted about the effort here.

It's been a long time since I last made a bundt pan. So long, I gave away my Bundt pan, then bought another one the other day. I know, that's crazy.

There is now one less can, though I am sure I have a few more tins squirreled away somewhere.

Sometime during another cool period, I want to make a seed cake roll. This may wait for later in the year. More likely, I will make an Almond Cake to go with berries and whipped cream.

    Sorry to have missed everyone
I got busy and couldn't deal with computer etc.
    I actually did make something
I made a rhubarb raspberry crisp with a recipe from taste of home
It wasn't bad- I just omitted the called for apple juice concentrate, because really who has that ? And do we need more sugar?
    Miss everyone like crazy
These are crazy days for sure....

    Sorry I didn’t make it.

I made my 1st court appearance in almost 90 days. It was remote via Zoom.

Mollyanne has included my family in her mealprep for her family( she delivers).

The last few months I have had bread, a few cookies etc. Today, I pushed and made a main. I also made Marian Burros’ famous plum torte.

I had Italian plums in the freezer. And I replaced about 30% of the flour with Bob’s Red Mill polenta aka grits aka coarsely ground corn.

The cake wasn’t completely cooled when I cut it. I miscalculated what time mollyanne would arrive. But it didn’t fall apart.

I just tasted a cool bit and as usual I love it.

    HI,

If anyone wishes to host dessert exchange in their backyard for July, that might work.

If people wish to meet via zoom, I can certainly assist.

We finished our meeting around 9:00 with everyone yawning, except me. I had taken a nap during the afternoon.

We are within range of reaching 100 dessert exchanges. Isn't that impressive?
